YouTube Channel Analyzer

Enter a channel to analyze all its public uploads, or just its videos, Shorts or live streams: total views, watch time, likes, engagement, top videos and output per year.

What is a YouTube channel analyzer?

A channel analyzer reads every public upload on a channel, not just the recent ones, and adds them up: total views, total watch length, likes, comments, engagement, average and median video length, and the top videos by any of those.

You can analyze all uploads together or only regular videos, Shorts or past live streams, which shows how each format performs on the same channel. A year-by-year table shows how output and views have changed since the channel started. Creators use it to find their best-performing topics and formats, researchers to study a channel's history, and anyone planning to binge a channel to see how much there is to watch.

How to analyze a YouTube channel

  1. 1.Enter the channel

Type the @handle or paste a channel link, then pick whether to analyze every upload or only videos, Shorts or live streams.

  2. 2.Let it read every upload

Every public upload is loaded with its views and length, then its likes and comments.

  3. 3.Explore the results

See the totals, rank the top 10 by views, likes, comments or engagement, and compare years.

Example: Shorts versus long videos

Analyzing one channel twice, once for Videos and once for Shorts, might give:

Videos
180 uploads · 14.4M views · median 52,000
Shorts
240 uploads · 9.6M views · median 21,000
Views per upload
80,000 for videos, 40,000 for Shorts

views per upload = total views ÷ number of uploads

Here long videos earn twice the views per upload, even though there are fewer of them.

A whole channel, not just recent videos

Channel stats looks at a channel's latest 30 uploads to show its current pace. The analyzer reads every public upload, so the totals, averages and top videos cover the channel's whole history.

Analyzing Shorts and regular videos separately shows how each format performs, and the upload-year table shows how a channel's output and views have changed over time.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from channel stats?

Channel stats shows subscribers, total views and how the latest 30 uploads perform, with best upload days. The analyzer reads every upload for full totals, top videos and a year-by-year breakdown.

Why don't the total views match the channel's view count?

The channel's count also includes views on videos that are now deleted, private or unlisted. The analyzer only adds up the public uploads it can read.

How long does a big channel take?

Uploads load 50 at a time, then their likes and comments, so a channel with thousands of videos takes a little while. Progress is shown as they load.

What does the engagement rate include?

Likes plus comments, divided by views, across all the analyzed uploads together.
