What is a YouTube title capitalizer?
A title capitalizer rewrites a title in the common capitalization styles at once: title case, sentence case, every word capitalized, all uppercase and all lowercase. You pick the one that suits your channel and copy it into YouTube Studio.
Title case follows AP style, so small words like a, the, and, of and to stay lowercase unless they start or end the title or follow a colon. Words you wrote with capitals inside them, such as YouTube, iPhone or NASA, are left alone, and so are links, hashtags and @handles. A title typed entirely in capitals is lowercased first, so shouting doesn't carry over. The length is checked against YouTube's 100-character limit as you go.

"to" and "on" stay lowercase in title case, while iPhone and YouTube keep their capitals in every style because they were typed that way.
The rules it follows
Title case follows AP style: every word is capitalized except short articles, conjunctions and prepositions like a, the, and, of and to, which stay lowercase unless they start or end the title or follow a colon. Both parts of a hyphenated word are capitalized, as in Step-by-Step.
Words you've written with capitals inside them, like YouTube, iPhone or NASA, are kept as they are, and so are links, hashtags and @handles. A title written all in capitals is treated as lowercase first. Proper nouns can't be detected, so check names in sentence case.
Frequently asked questions
Should YouTube titles be in title case?
YouTube has no rule. Title case is the most common for long videos; sentence case reads more casually. Pick one and use it across your channel.
Why isn't a name capitalized in sentence case?
The tool can't tell a name from an ordinary word, so check proper nouns like places and people after converting.
Should I write titles in all capitals?
One capitalized word for emphasis can work, but whole titles in capitals are harder to read and can look like spam.
How is title case different from capitalizing every word?
Title case keeps short words such as a, the, and, of and to lowercase unless they open or close the title. Capitalizing every word gives each of them a capital, which some channels prefer for a bolder look.
