YouTube Comment Picker

A comment picker draws random winners from the comments on a YouTube video, for giveaways, contests and shout-outs. Picking by scrolling isn't fair to people whose comments are further down, and it's hard to prove afterwards.

The tool loads up to 20,000 of the newest top-level comments, then draws with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every eligible entry has the same chance. You can require a keyword or hashtag, limit everyone to one entry however many times they commented, and choose how many winners to draw. Because the comments are loaded only once, you can draw again, for a backup winner for example, without waiting.

Winners are drawn with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, so every eligible comment has the same chance. With "one entry per person" on, people who commented many times don't get extra chances.

The picker reads top-level comments. Replies aren't counted, which matches how most giveaways ask people to enter.
