Why don't these PDF tools upload my file?
They use pdf-lib to build and edit PDFs and pdf.js, Firefox's PDF engine, to draw pages, both running as JavaScript in your browser. Your documents never reach a server, which matters for ID proofs, bank statements and contracts.
Can I use password-protected PDFs?
No. Their contents are encrypted. Open the file with its password in a PDF reader, save a copy without protection, and use that.
How large a PDF can I work with?
Up to 200 MB per file. Speed depends on your device: hundreds of pages are fine on a laptop, while a phone works best with smaller files.
Do the tools work offline?
Yes, once the page and its PDF engine have loaded, you can keep working without a connection.
