What is a time zone converter?
A time zone converter shows what a given date and time in one place is in other places. It's essential for remote teams, international calls, webinars, flights and family calls across countries, where getting the offset or the daylight saving date wrong means someone joins an hour early or late.
Enter the time as one participant sees it, choose their zone, and every other zone you've added shows its local time and date for that same moment, with its UTC offset. The list of zones comes from your browser, so it covers every city in the IANA time zone database, from Kolkata and Dubai to Los Angeles and Sydney.
How to use the Time Zone Converter
1.Set the time and zone
Enter the date and time as the person in the first zone sees it.
2.Add cities
Keep the defaults or add any zone; remove ones you don't need.
3.Share the plan
Copy the list for an invite, or share the link so everyone sees the same comparison.
Example: a 9:00 am IST meeting on 3 November 2026
Converting Tuesday 9:00 am in India to other cities:
- New York (UTC−05:00)
- 10:30 pm, Monday 2 November
- London (UTC+00:00)
- 3:30 am, Tuesday
- Dubai (UTC+04:00)
- 7:30 am, Tuesday
- Sydney (UTC+11:00)
- 2:30 pm, Tuesday
New York is still on the previous day, which is easy to miss when writing an invite.
Daylight saving and offsets
The converter uses your browser's time zone database, the same one your calendar app uses, so daylight saving changes are applied for the exact date. India stays at UTC+05:30 all year, while New York moves between UTC−05:00 and UTC−04:00, so the gap between IST and New York is 10 h 30 min in winter and 9 h 30 min in summer.
Zones are named by city because offsets alone change with daylight saving. Each row shows the local time, the date, which may be a day ahead or behind, and the current UTC offset.
