Fancy Text Generator

Type once and see your words in 20 styles, from bold and italic to script, gothic and upside down. Copy any of them into a bio, caption, username or chat.

What is a fancy text generator?

A fancy text generator converts ordinary text into stylish-looking characters that you can paste into apps that don't support formatting. It's how people get bold words in an Instagram bio, gothic letters in a gaming name or upside-down text in a chat.

This generator offers 20 styles: serif and sans-serif bold and italic, script, gothic Fraktur, double-struck, monospace, small caps, circled, squared, full-width, upside down, strikethrough and underline. It converts as you type, handles the letters that Unicode keeps in older blocks, and gives each style its own Copy button.

How to use the Fancy Text Generator

  1. 1.Type your text

Letters and numbers are converted; spaces, punctuation and emoji stay the same.

  2. 2.Pick a style

Scroll the 20 styles; each shows your text live.

  3. 3.Copy and paste

Press Copy and paste wherever plain text goes: Instagram, X, WhatsApp, YouTube and more.

Example: "ZapKit" in five styles

The same six letters, as different Unicode characters:

Bold
𝐙𝐚𝐩𝐊𝐢𝐭 (Z becomes U+1D419)
Script
𝒵𝒶𝓅𝒦𝒾𝓉
Gothic
ℨ𝔞𝔭𝔎𝔦𝔱 (Z uses the older ℨ)
Double-struck
ℤ𝕒𝕡𝕂𝕚𝕥
Upside down
ʇᴉʞdɐz (reversed and flipped)

Each style is a different set of characters that happen to look like Z, a, p, K, i and t, which is why they paste anywhere.

These aren't really fonts

Apps don't let you choose fonts, so these styles swap each letter for a different Unicode character that looks like a styled version, mostly from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block that exists for equations. 𝐙 (bold Z) is a separate character from Z, which is why the style survives copying.

That has costs. Screen readers may read the letters one by one or skip them, search can't match them to normal words, and a few older devices show empty boxes. Use them for a word or two of emphasis, not whole posts.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some styles skip numbers?

Unicode only has styled digits for bold, double-struck, monospace and the sans-serif styles; elsewhere numbers stay plain.

Why don't accented letters change?

The styled alphabets only cover A–Z without accents, so letters like é and Hindi or other scripts are left as they are.

Will it work in my Instagram name?

Usually yes in the display name, but your @username only allows letters, numbers, dots and underscores.

Are fancy fonts bad for SEO or accessibility?

They aren't read as normal words, so keep important words, like your name or niche, in plain text.
