NEET UG 2027 Countdown

A live countdown to NEET UG 2027. Until NTA announces the date, it counts to the expected first Sunday of May, and it updates once the official notice is out.

What is the NEET countdown?

The NEET countdown tracks the time left until the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG), the single entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses in India, conducted by the National Testing Agency.

Because NTA usually confirms the date only a few months ahead, this countdown starts from the expected date based on past years and clearly says so. When the official date is announced, the page switches to it. It counts down to the 2:00 pm IST start, and lists the other major exams below for students preparing for several.

How to use the NEET UG 2027 Countdown

  1. 1.Check the timer

It counts to 2:00 pm IST on exam day, the usual start time.

  2. 2.Note the status

The badge shows Expected until NTA confirms the date.

  3. 3.Plan by subject

Biology carries half the marks, so give it about half your revision time.

Example: from New Year to NEET

Counting from 1 January 2027 to the expected date:

Days left
121
Weeks left
17 weeks and 2 days
Biology revision at half the time
about 60 days
Physics and Chemistry
about 30 days each

Splitting the 121 days by marks keeps Biology, worth half the paper, at the centre of the plan.

NEET UG pattern

NEET UG has 180 compulsory questions in three hours for 720 marks: 45 in Physics, 45 in Chemistry and 90 in Biology (Botany and Zoology). Each correct answer earns 4 marks and each wrong answer costs 1, so guessing at random lowers your score.

The result is used for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, nursing and veterinary admissions across India, through All India Quota and state counselling.
